Blackpool president Valery Belokon insists Karl Oyston's resignation has not unsettled the club.
Oyston resigned as chairman last week.
Belokon told a Russian newspaper: "The financial situation at Blackpool is one of the most stable in England. Many other clubs can only envy us.
"Last year, including bonuses, our budget was about £10m, but this season it is going to be much bigger because to play in the Premier League we need much more money.
"I am a businessman and return on invested money is very important for me. And the effectiveness of investments into our club is currently one of the highest in England."
