Jude Bellingham has explained choosing Borussia Dortmund over Manchester United when leaving Birmingham City last summer.
The central midfielder had been heavily linked with United earlier in 2020 and even had a meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson during a tour of the club's Carrington base.
"For me, it's all about the feeling that I get from the people and the ambition," Bellingham told BBC Sport's MOTDx as he explained why he moved to Westfalenstadion.
"The People bring up money and all that rubbish but I wouldn't play for a club that I genuinely didn't fall in love with.
"I felt a strong connection with the people at Dortmund. They told me, 'If you come here, we'll develop you, you'll get game time and you'll be an international in two years.'"
Highlighting the rapid rises of his fellow teammates Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, Bellingham added: "You look at those people, just the platform they've been given to perform.
"That's all I feel like I needed. I feel like they're a perfect example of that. And especially Jadon coming from England he's been a massive help since I got here.
"From the first day I knew I made the right decision to be honest."
