Belgium coach Roberto Martinez says Real Madrid ace Eden Hazard is recovering well from ankle surgery.
Hazard underwent an operation in Dallas on March 5, but Martinez is concerned about the impact the coronavirus pandemic may have on Hazard's recovery process.
"I know he's recovering well," Martinez told Het Laatste Nieuws.
"He's not far from walking again and there haven't been any complications.
"Everything went well during the operation, the fear is that in the next four to five weeks there will be complications, and there haven't been any [so far]."
Since making the move to Real Madrid last summer, Hazard has had rotten luck in terms of injuries, although Martinez saw a slight positive in the 29-year-old's latest injury coming when it did.
"Of course, LaLiga has stopped momentarily, so Eden isn't missing any games," Martinez stated.
"That's only good for him. We know he'll come back stronger.
"We were also lucky, of course, that his surgery was performed just before the [coronavirus] outbreak.
"Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to travel or be treated outside of Madrid.
"Eden is a player who is recovering; he is focused on his recovery and I have a positive feeling that Eden will be back soon."
