Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has hit out at the English press for the way they treated Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku left Manchester United for Inter Milan last month and is already off the mark for his new club.
"Romelu is not valued sufficiently, also in England," Martínez told the Mail on Sunday.
“The reason is obvious. Because everyone continues to analyse the qualities he does not have as a number 9. Everyone wants to tell him that his ball control should be better.
"That he has to create more space for himself. However, what they overlook is his killer instinct. Look at the stats. He is one of the most impressive goal scorers at his age. It is like with every player: if you keep emphasizing what he cannot do, then you do not feel that he is a good player. But Romelu has always been that and everywhere has scored his goals."
