Watford manager Quique Sanchez Florez has revealed that midfielder Valon Behrami apologised for his red card against Swansea City.

The 30-year-old Swiss international was sent off for a stamp on Andre Ayew in the 1-0 win to the Hornets on Saturday.

Flores said: "He said sorry for getting sent off.

"I do not have to speak with him about discipline because he makes a lot of challenges in every game and he is an honest player."
