Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has lauded the behaviour of his striker Diego Costa in the 2-2 draw with Swansea City.

The notorious striker, who scored a brace for the Blues, has already attracted criticism for his on-field antics this season but came up with two fine goals to help his side grab a point in South Wales.

Costa was the subject of close attention from the Swans defence which prompted the following reaction from Conte.

"After every game, the press asks me about Diego Costa and his behaviour," he said.

"Today I can say he had a fantastic behaviour to control the situation.

"He took a lot of kicks from the first minute until the end of the game. I am pleased because he showed me, his team-mates, he showed us all he has fantastic behaviour. It wasn't easy.

"Defenders know him, and sometimes they try to provoke him. He is a player with great passion and they tried to provoke him but this is football, not only in England or with Diego, but all over the world."
