David Beckham has revealed that he is looking to run his Miami MLS franchise in a similar way to the famous Manchester United.
The 40-year-old former midfielder continues to prepare for life as a football club owner with expansion franchise Miami still looking to enter the USA and Canada's top flight in 2017.
Beckham, along with long-time representative Simon Fuller and Bolivian businessman Marcelo Claure, is working feverishly behind the scenes to launch the team in Florida but is likely to take a leaf out of his old club's book rather than follow the lead of clubs in North america.
"We want the club to be run professionally — everything needs to be run like a club like Manchester United," Beckham told the Daily Star.
"You have to look at it like that.
"Luckily, I've had a little bit of experience in that and I definitely will be a demanding owner. I want the team to be successful and the club to be successful, so I think I have to be demanding."
