Beckham happy to learn from Spurs boss Mourinho

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham spent time at Tottenham with manager Jose Mourinho earlier this year.

In a trip arranged by AIA, who sponsor Tottenham and for whom Beckham is a brand ambassador, the Miami owner met Spurs boss Jose Mourinho to pick his brains about player welfare.

“I try to know. I think sometimes you have to delay a little bit but when they go, they go absolutely ready," revealed the Portuguese boss when asked how he knew the time was right to bring through a youngster.

“I think it's more difficult to cope with the social pressure than the football pressure, that's the toughest part.

“If you feel pressure to be here (on pitch) you don't belong here. If you feel pressure because you want to be a normal kid, 20/25 years old and the world doesn't let you that is a different thing and in academies I think they focus a lot on this part and help them to cope with what is waiting for them outside."
