Paul Clement has revealed he received congratulatory texts from David Beckham and John Terry on his Derby County appointment.

The 43-year old was formerly assistant to Carlo Ancelotti during his spells at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and most recently Real Madrid and reveals that he regularly keeps in touch with past players.

"John and David both sent me congratulatory messages," he said as he was unveiled at the iPro Stadium on Thursday.

"I keep in contact with some of the players I worked with at Chelsea - John in particular, I'm in touch with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Beckham from the PSG time."
