France Under-21 international Paul Baysse is edging closer to a January move to Blackburn Rovers.
The Sunday Mirror says Rovers officials held talks with the Sedan centre-back after he starred in their 3-0 win over Nantes 12 days ago.
Now manager Sam Allardyce is set to see off rival interest from Wolves and Sunderland with a £1million bid next month. Baysse revealed: "I had the chance to speak with some Blackburn directors on the evening of the Nantes game.
"My agent was also there, as was Michel Rouquette - the right-hand man of Sedan president Pascal Urano."
