A move from Manchester City to Bayern Munich for Jerome Boateng looks highly unlikely.
The 22-year old German defender is keen to sign with the Bundesliga giants but the club's sporting director Christian Nerlinger is not very optimistic.
"Jerome Boateng insists on a move to Munich because he sees it as an outstanding opportunity," he said.
But added that the club is not prepared to meet City's demands of around £18 million and is 'very pessimistic that the transfer will be made.'
