Marca says Barca have said they have total trust in the player but the final step still hasn't been taken to reassure him of his place in the team.
Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on the situation with the intention of possibly signing the player on a permanent deal or on loan.
The German giants have contacted Barcelona twice to ask about the player and have made it known that they would like to have them in Bavaria for this season with Borussia Monchengladbach also making a move for the player which was rejected by the club.
Pedri's future is uncertain at the moment and the closure of the transfer window is approaching with the player not having received assurances from Barcelona.
It's certainly a situation which he will hope can be resolved soon.
