Bayern Munich are ready to look elsewhere for defensive signings as Manchester City play hardball over the sale of Jerome Boateng.
The Germany defender has hinted he wants to go home a year after joining City in a £10.5million deal. But the clubs have yet to agree a fee as the Eastlands outfit are looking for around £15m.
The Germans are nowhere near. Director Christian Nerlinger said: "The player wants to go to Bayern Munich because he sees it as an outstanding opportunity.
"But Manchester City have a big price. If there is no movement from them, then I am pessimistic."
