Bayern Munich to open soccer school in China

Bayern Munich have announced plans to open a soccer school in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The Bundesliga side have agreed a partnership with the city-owned Shenzhen Investment Holdings Company and the China Sports Futurity agency to establish the new facility.

FC Bayern youth coaches will make regular visits to the centre, where they will work with young players and local coaches to improve standards.

The announcement comes with Bayern preparing to take on Italian giants AC Milan in a pre-season friendly in Shenzhen on 22nd July as part of the 2017 Audi Summer Tour.

"Our goal is clear-cut," said Bayern Munich board member for internationalisation and strategy Jörg Wacker. "We aim to reinforce and promote FC Bayern's presence and values in China in the coming years. Our FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen is a marker for the implementation of our international strategy in China."

Hu Guobin, the director of Shenzhen's Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, added: "Not only does the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen strengthen the friendly relationship between Germany and China, it will also play a decisive part in terms of supporting the training of local youths and coaches, taking it to another level."
