Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski says Timo Werner is among the world's best goalscorers.

The RB Leipzig forward is a target for Liverpool and Barcelona.

Lewandoski was asked by an international panel who he thought were the top five strikers in the world at the moment.

“A difficult question," said Lewandowski, quoted by the Daily Star.

“If we talk about the nine (classic centre forward), I would say: Karim Benzema, Timo Werner, Luis Suarez, Sergio Agüero and Kylian Mbappé."
