Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane says he felt sorry for his former Manchester City teammates.

The Citizens were defeated in the Champions League final by Chelsea in Portugal on Saturday.

City had been tipped to win the trophy and claim a treble, after winning the Premier League and Carabao Cup this season.

But they were denied by a Kai Havertz first half goal, as they lost the game 1-0.

"I felt very sorry for the boys, the club and the fans. I would have wished them to win this title," Sane told Goal.

"Unfortunately it did not work out, but I know that they will stay hungry and give everything to win this trophy one day. I wish them only the best!"
