Bayern Munich are standing by their price for Thiago Alcantara.

The midfielder can leave the club providing interested suitors meet their £27million (€30m) valuation, says the Athletic.

Thiago is intent on moving on this summer despite still having another year to run on his contract.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with his signature and remain the favourites to sign him, though previous reports suggested they were baulking at Thiago's price tag.

In the current circumstances Liverpool do not have excess cash reserves to spare but it is believed they will make their approach in the coming weeks.
