Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness is happy seeing Bastian Schweinsteiger leave Manchester United.

The former Bayern captain is moving to Chicago Fire this week.

Hoeness was never happy seeing Schweinsteiger join United and believes he's made the right choice to leave.

"In the long run, this was not a condition for him to be in Manchester as only a fifth wheel.

"That is not a situation for a man like Bastian Schweinsteiger, with whom he can not be satisfied," said Hoeness.
