Bayern Munich have opened talks with Manchester City for Leroy Sane.

The Mirror says Bayern chief Hasan Salihamidzic is leading negotiations as the club look to secure their man they have had as their prime target since the start of the summer.

Sane has been a long-term target for the Bavarian club after Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben both left the club at the end of the contracts.

Earlier this summer Bayern balked at City's £90million valuation for 23-year-old German international Sane.

Sane played a big part of City's Premier League winning campaign last season contributing to a total of 20 goals, split evenly with 10 goals and 10 assists.
