Bayern Munich are moving for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.

The Mirror says Alderweireld could be offered an immediate route out of Tottenham by Bayern Munich.

The German giants have the Spurs centre back on their shortlist of potential replacements for Jerome Boateng.

Manchester United were interested in Boateng, 29, before the English transfer window shut last week.

But they were unable to agree a deal with Bayern who wanted a permanent £50m transfer while United only wanted to take World Cup winner Boateng on loan.

However, Paris Saint-Germain remain keen on Boateng which would create a vacancy for a new centre-back at the Allianz Arena.
