Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara feels for Kepa Arrizabalaga over his axing at Chelsea.
The Spain No1 has been dumped by Chelsea boss Frank Lampard for veteran Willy Caballero, who again impressed in defeat to Bayern for Tuesday's Champions League first-leg round 16 clash.
"He is a great friend and I am very fond of him. We get along in the national team and here too," the midfielder told Efe after they were seen chatting and joking together in the warm-down after the match, along with Chelsea veteran Pedro.
"I don't know what the exact situation he is living (Kepa) in Chelsea.
"Kepa is a great goalkeeper."
On the 0-3 win, Thiago added: "It is very important to score goals away from home, but above all to win. We have made a great game, deserving of victory."
