Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is delighted to be part of Spain's squad this week.
Thiago hopes to see action in the World Cup qualifier with Liechtenstein tonight.
Playing the full 90 minutes in coach Julen Lopetegui's debut win over Belgium in midweek, the Bayern Munich midfielder faces competition from the likes of Saul Niguez, Juan Mata, and currently injured playmaker Andres Iniesta.
"Every player who's called up to the national team should feel important, we all take responsibility and we are all important," Thiago told the press ahead of Monday's game.
"I've been part of the squad since 2015, it is a reward to join the national side, playing when the coach selects me. Whether I play or not, it is a prize to be called up."
