Bayern Munich make Arsene Wenger appointment priority

Bayern Munich WANT Arsene Wenger as their next coach.

Bayern are looking for a new manager after sacking Niko Kovac on Sunday following their humiliating 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt last time out.

The 70-year-old former Arsenal boss is the favoured choice of Bayern's hierarchy as they look for a candidate capable of reviving their season and handling big name players, says the Daily Mail.

The legendary ex-Premier League boss, who is fluent in German, has been without a job since stepping down at Arsenal at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Ralf Rangnick, who had been considered a rival for the Bayern post, is understood to be out of the running.
