Bayern Munich are in talks with Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen and could make a move for the player in January.

With his contract set to expire in June Eriksen is almost certain to move on and SPORT1 says Bayern are willing to offer the 27-year-old an escape route in the January transfer window.

They claim the Bundesliga champions have already contacted Eriksen's party and he is said to be open to the idea of the move.

Bayern recently humiliated Spurs 7-2 in the Champions League and Eriksen is sure to have been impressed with the clinical nature of their performance, and may fancy himself playing a role in the team.

He has not performed to his normal standards this season, but has been a crucial player during the Mauricio Pochettino era at Spurs, and was a key figure in helping them to the Champions League final last season.
