Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was delighted with victory over Tottenham in last night's Champions League tie.

Bayern produced the best ever group campaign of a German team - six wins from six games, 24:5 goals, producing a goal difference of +19.

Neuer said: "I think we proved ourselves.

"This was especially in the two games against Tottenham. But we basically performed very well, consistently and focused in the Champions League.

"It is also important to be taken seriously in Europe again."
