Bayern Munich eyeing Villarreal defender Pau Torres

Bayern Munich are eyeing Villarreal defender Pau Torres.

Torres has been attracting attention from many of Europe's top clubs, most recently Bayern Munich, who are considering him as a replacement for David Alaba.

Other names linked with the Spain international include Real Madrid, Barcelona, JuventusManchester United and Chelsea.

The Bavarian press claim that Pau is Bayern's top choice to fill the void left by Alaba, who is set to join Real Madrid.

According to Sport 1 in Germany, Bayern want to beat the competition and bring in the 24-year-old to partner Jerome Boateng in defence next season.

The player from Villarreal won't come cheaply, however, with his release clause potentially upwards of 60 million euros, which, if met, would be a club record for the 'Yellow Submarine'.
