Lucas Hernandez is happy to have left Atletico Madrid for Bayern Munich.

The World Cup winner admits the last year has been a career whirlwind.

Hernandez stated: "It is true that it is a great transfer, I had been in Madrid for a long time, I was looking for something else, a new culture, a new mentality...

"Once there, it is true the organisation is amazing, the club is huge.

“Everything was very fast for me," he added. “This confidence shown by the club for me, I wanted to return to the field (because of his injury).

"A year and a half ago, nobody knew me in France, there a year and a half ago nobody thought that a club could pay €80m for me."
