Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick cannot guarantee Jerome Boateng staying beyond the January market.

The Germany defender's agent is in talks with Arsenal ahead of the winter transfer window swinging open.

Asked about Boateng's situation, Flick told Kicker: "I agree with him and we talk openly.

"Against Wolfsburg he joined the team and had some problems, but then he showed that he has the quality to play for Bayern.

"Jerome has to make the decision about his future because it's about his career."
