Bayern Munich chief Rummenigge lifts lid on Coutinho, Thiago plans

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed they won't be keeping hold of Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian will see out the Champions League campaign and could even line up against parent club Barcelona in Friday's Champions League quarterfinal.

" As we've said a few times now, Coutinho's deal is over and we can't - and won't - make deals of that value," explained Rummenigge in an interview with BILD. The loan agreement stipulated an option to sign Coutinho for €120m.

Rummenigge also spoke about another former Barça man, Thiago Alcantara, who is expected to leave Bayern this summer.

"On Thiago, you know he's told us he wants a new challenge. If any club wants to talk and is willing to pay a fair price, we'll work on that."
