Bayern Munich chief Kahn confident over Coman, Goretzka extensions

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn is confident of the club's ability to secure Kingsley Coman and Leon Goretzka's contracts.

The two stars are the subject of transfer rumours, given their present deals run out in 2023 and 2022 respectively.

The duo, who both starred at Euro 2020 for their respective nations, are likely to remain at Bayern for the foreseeable future.

"We are in very, very good talks with both players, and I'm very optimistic," Khan, the club's new chief executive officer, told a press conference on Monday.

"We have a great package to offer; you always have the chance to win big titles with us, and to help shape an era. Both are very, very important players, absolute top players."

When asked about David Alaba going to Real Madrid, Kahn added: "Top players want to get accordingly paid.

"We've not naive about that, that's perfectly fine. We have a clearly defined limit [when it comes to spending on contracts]."

Coman has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, while Goretzka has also been tracked by the Old Trafford club.
