Bayer Leverkusen wait until summer for decision on Liverpool target Havertz

Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed they will look at the future of starlet Kai Havertz when the season concludes.

The talented youngster wants to move in the summer, as he believes that he has outgrown the club.

And the club's sporting director Rudi Voller has indicated that a summer sale is a possibility.

But nothing is to be decided until the season ends.

Havertz has five goals and two assists in 19 league games this term.

"I am glad that we still held [on to Kai Havertz] this year," Voller said on the TV programme '100% Bundesliga – Football at Nitro'.

"We'll see how it looks in summer. He still has a contract until 2022 - these are, of course, the classic facts.

"There was already interest in the summer, but we told him that it would be good for him to stay with us for another year. And that was the right decision."
