Bayer Leverkusen striker Volland using Arsenal interest as contract leverage

Bayer Leverkusen striker Kevin Volland won't jump into new contract talks.

Now inside the final 18 months of his current deal, Bayer are keen to secure the striker to new terms worth €6m-a-year.

However, BILD says Volland knows his value - particularly in England - and is prepared to test the market.

The 27 year-old attacker was linked with Arsenal before Christmas.

"I feel very comfortable and think the club is cool. I am completely relaxed and will let everything come to me," he reasoned yesterday.
