Nice striker Mario Balotelli's row with Bastia is escalating.

Former AC Milan striker Balotelli says he received racist abuse from the crowd last week, something Bastia tried to deny despite video evidence.

Bastia coach Francois Ciccolini was then snapped shouting at Balotelli during the game.

He later explained on RMC: “I lost my head, that is true, but my mother is 80 and she is not far from dying… That is why I got annoyed.

"If he had just insulted me, I would've said nothing."
