Bassini pushed to get serious about Bolton Wanderers

Former Watford owner Laurence Bassini is being pushed to get serious about Bolton Wanderers.

The Sun says the Trotters are facing a new nightmare after Bassini was given more time to buy the club.

The London-based businessman met Football League chief executive Shaun Harvey in a bid to prove he has the funds to run the club.

And remarkably the League gave him a further 48 hours to show he has enough to gain their approval and take over the relegated Championship outfit.

But the delay only adds to Bolton's problems as they desperately try to find a team to play against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The players are on strike and were hoping for a decision and some clarity on when their March and April salaries will arrive.
