Former Olympique Marseille midfielder Joey Barton has urged his old club to go for Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah.

Barton had a season in France with OM and was asked by Bein Sport who he would recommend the club's current owners move for in the Premier League.

"A player who could play Marseille? Mohamed Salah," replied the Everton diehard.

"OM fans love Chris Waddle and Abedi Pelé. They need someone who dribbles and can make the fans excited.

"Every time he (Salah) touches the ball, there is a chance of a goal."
