Everton midfielder Gareth Barry feels they need to add some invention this summer.

Roberto Martinez has made the signing of a playmaker as a priority this summer and though Barry says transfers are down to the manager, he would welcome an addition in that position.

"Decisions like that are up to the manager and it is for him to decide, but that No10 position is a key position for us because of the way the manager likes us to play and he likes someone in there who can create chances and score as well," he said.

"If he can find someone who can do that then it is going to be good for Everton."
