Stoke and USA international winger Brek Shea has joined ChampionshipBarnsley on an emergency loan. Shea joined Stoke last January on a four-and-a-half-year contract for £2.5m from MLS side FC Dallas but his career in England has been hampered by niggling injuries.
The 23-year-old has made just five appearances for the Potters and admitted recently he needed to be playing in order to force his way into Jurgen Klinsman's squad for the World Cup.
