Barnsley have signed Derby striker Jon Macken on loan until the new year.

The 30-year-old former Manchester City player joined the Rams last season but is yet to feature since they gained promotion to the Barclays Premier League.

He has joined the Coca-Cola Championship club on an emergency loan until January 1 and will link-up with County team-mate Lewin Nyatanga, who is also at Oakwell on a temporary basis.

Derby will be able to recall Macken if needed after 28 days.
