Barnsley move for Liverpool defender Conor Randall

Barnsley have made a move for Liverpool defender Conor Randall.

The Daily Mail says Barnsley have enquired about taking Randall on loan to replace Aston Villa-bound James Bree.

Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp has told 21-year-old Randall he'll be allowed out to gain first-team experience, with Preston North End also in the running having tried unsuccessfully to sign the right-back last summer.

Randall has made seven first-team appearances for Liverpool but not played this season due to the emergence of Trent Alexander-Arnold as Nathaniel Clyne's understudy.
