Manchester United U21 coach Warren Joyce is playing Paul Digby out of position, say Barnsley fans.
The England U20 international has been trialling with United's U21 squad this week and was handed a full 90 by Joyce in their friendly against Stockport.
The match finished 0-0, with Digby impressive at centre-half.
Standing at 6ft 4in, Digby broke into the England U20 squad as a midfielder with Barnsley.
Tykes fan Jack Tolson says Digby won't be able to show Joyce his full ability until he gets a chance in United's midfield.
@tribalfootball bloody hell, can't really imagine him there, I mean he's tall and that but still, never really impressed here at oakwell tbh

Digby's teammate, Mason Holgate, who is a centre-half, has also had a trial stint this preseason at United.
Holgate has been likened to Everton defender John Stones, who moved to the Blues from Oakwell.
Tolson says the youngster is a talent, but not at Stones' level, having seen both come through as a Barnsley fan.
@tribalfootball nowhere near as good as stones imo, he's a good player but not that good, would love to see Him stay though fits in well

United have been developing closer ties with Barnsley over the past 18 months.
The Premier League giants have sent young midfield pair Ben Pearson and Joe Rothwell on-loan to Barnsley until January.
