Barnsley are set to make a move for Liverpool defender Connor Randall as a potential replacement for James Bree, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Tykes are expected to lose the services of young right-back Bree to Aston Villa on a £3million deal and they will quickly need to find a replacement for their soon-to-depart star.

It can now be revealed that the Championship outfit have identified Liverpool youngster Randall as a potential replacement for Bree and are close to signing the 21-year-old on a loan deal till the end of the current campaign.
