Barnsley are closing a deal for Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow.

The Sun says the 23-year-old striker is in talks over an initial loan to Oakwell with a permanent deal in January.

Slavisa Jokanovic will allow the former England Under-21 to leave Craven Cottage for regular football after starting the season with Aleksandar Mitrovic leading his attack.

Aboubakar Kamara has also been drafted in as a wide forward and Andre Schurrle also provides Jokanovic options.

Woodrow will be allowed to leave for League One after seven years at the club, which included loans to the Championship with Burton and Bristol City.

He is set to lead a promotion chase back to the second tier for Barnsley following relegation last season.
