Barnsley battling to keep hold of Man City, Spurs, Man Utd target James Bree

Barnsley face a battle to keep hold of teenage prospect James Bree.

The Sunday Mirror says the 16-year-old right-back is attracting interest from Manchester City, Tottenham and Everton

A midfielder by trade, James made his first-team debut at right-back in the Reds' final match of the 2013/14 season at just 16 years and 143 days old.

Bree's age at the time of his debut meant he went in the history books as the second youngest ever player to make his debut in a Barnsley shirt, behind only to current first-team midfielder, Reuben Noble-Lazarus.

Barnsley have confirmed they successfully resisted interest from Manchester United last year to keep hold of the youngster.
