Barnet sack manager Harry Kewell

Barnet have become the second National League club to sack their manager on Monday morning with confirmation of Harry Kewell departing The Hive.

Former Leeds and Liverpool winger Kewell and assistant Paul Butler have left with immediate effect with director of football Dean Brennan taking over in the interim.

The Bees lie 22nd and have only taken two points from their seven games.

Earlier on Monday, Aldershot had parted company with Danny Searle.

Aldershot are one spot above Barnet in 21st in the fifth tier, with four points from seven games, but those four points had come in their last two games.
