Barcelona management are convinced they have a world-beater on their hands in Nico Gonzalez.

The son of Deportivo La Coruna great Fran, the teenage midfielder has just signed a new deal with Barca to 2024.

For Barca youth chief Xavi Vilajoana it's a relief as he's convinced Gonzalez, 19, is on track to being a future star.

"He will be better than Sergio (Busquets)," said Vilajoana.

"He is more complete. He can play inside because he has more mobility and pace, he has a good head, he is right-handed, but he uses both legs very well, he is tall and strong ... He is an eight in everything."
