Mundo Deportivo says Barca youth chief Patrick Kluivert is having the 17 year-old scouted.
Adeyemi has been likened to Barca teen Ansu Fati.
The Catalans believe they can sign Adeyemi for €8m in January.
Adeyemi is a Germany youth international.
