Juventus striker Alvaro Morata faces missing out on a move to Barcelona this month.
Sport says Barcelona have given up on the deal given the difficulty of making it happen with all parties satisfied, especially Atletico Madrid.
Indeed, Morata now has thrown in the towel and will stay at Juventus until the end of the season.
The player did his part to make the operation work. His agents reached a deal with Barcelona but Atletico are the spoke in the works. Juventus are satisfied with Dusan Vlahovic's arrival and would let Morata go, but Atletico did not want to reinforce a direct rival.
Barcelona are instead considering Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal on loan and have signed Adama Traore on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
