Barcelona are set to launch a bid for Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez.

The stopper is admired by Barca coach Ernesto Valverde, who requested his signing upon his appointment last summer.

Don Balon says Barca are now ready to move for Inigo after offloading Rafinha to Inter Milan and confirming the departure of Javier Mascherano to Hebei Fortune China.

Valverde wants the deal done immediately and talks are set to kickoff between the two clubs.

La Real defender Inigo's contract carries a €30m buyout clause.
