Manchester United have made an opening bid for Barcelona fullback Sergino Dest.

The defender is wanted by his former Ajax coach Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

TalkSPORT says United have made an opening offer of €17m for Dest.

However, Barca are demanding €20m to sell, despite their eagerness to move on the fullback.

Dest was left out of Barca's squad for Saturday's opening LaLiga clash with Rayo Vallecano, which finished 0-0.
