Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has hailed the progress of Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.
Suarez will face his former club in the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal next week.
"I understand what they are going through and it can't be easy," he said, referring to Liverpool's title setback, "but with us I think it was different because it was: 'Now or never'. When I was there, it was very different. We were very close to the Premier League (title) with a squad that was not nearly so good.
"They didn't spend as much as they do now. All players would like to go to Liverpool today, it was different then. If we had won the league, I think it would have been an even bigger achievement than if this team did."
